7 Balls Brewing

7 Balls Brewing is a Bellows Falls brewery started by four friends who grew up in the area and have been friends since grade school. The group has homebrewed together for more than eight years, and two of them brewed on and off for about 25 years before that. They started out brewing in their own kitchens, then moved to a more industrial space for their hoppy and malty experiments. Strong local support and encouragement from friends and family pushed them to plan a taproom and brewery in downtown Bellows Falls. The founders, all middle-aged with full-time jobs, say they believe in the community where they grew up. The name started with the initials of their four last names, which they rearranged. The rest came from a wisecrack by one of the founders’ wives during those discussions, and after much debate the name stuck.
