Red Barn Brewing is a small brewery in Danville. It began in 2016 in a historic 1840s post-and-beam barn behind the home of owners Erin and Jeremy McMullen, with just five draft lines. They started it with neighbors Judi and Peter McAlenney, and Peter had been homebrewing since 1996. The barn opened its doors on June 3, 2016, with the goal of giving the rural community quality craft beer without a long drive. In 2019 the brewery relocated to a new barn on Route 2 and installed a 10-barrel brewing system and a canning line to get its beer into stores. Red Barn brews porters, English styles, Kölsch, wheat beers, lagers, APAs and IPAs, and it keeps at least eight beers on tap. The taproom also serves cocktails and food, and it hosts weekly trivia, open mic nights and live music.
