Lucy and Howe Brewing Company
About
Lucy and Howe Brewing Company is a small nano-brewery in Jericho with a taproom in the Jericho Ale and Bean building, the former Jericho General Store. Founder Jesse began homebrewing in Austria more than 15 years ago. He later worked at Magic Hat, one of Vermont’s original craft breweries, from 2015 to 2020, rising to head brewer overseeing wort production and fermentation. He started Lucy and Howe in an old Jericho house built in the 1850s by Lucien Howe, who ran the town’s Red Mill with his son Frank, and the brewery’s name draws on that history. The beer lineup balances adventurous and traditional styles, with an emphasis on Belgian-inspired ales and lagers inspired by brewing traditions around the world. Its taps have ranged from a Märzen and a Kölsch to a sour gose, a smoked ale and hoppy IPAs. Growlers can be filled to go.
