Citizen Cider is a hard cider maker in Burlington. It began almost on a whim, with the idea of making hard cider for everyday people. Every cider starts with locally sourced Vermont and New York apples pressed on site in Burlington. The team ranges from traditional cider making to experimental techniques and keeps trying new ideas and ingredients, so there is a cider for nearly every taste. Citizen Cider is committed to partnerships with orchards, taking its cider from orchard to can and supporting local agriculture through close relationships with growers. In recent years it has expanded beyond hard cider into non-alcoholic sparkling cider, hard seltzer, ready-to-drink cider cocktails and a light beer. It also runs a cider pub called The Press House and offers co-packing.
