Upper Pass Beer Co

Upper Pass Beer Co. is a brewery and neighborhood brewpub in Burlington’s New North End, near the shore of Lake Champlain. It began in 2015 in the hills of Tunbridge, on a retired sheep farm, where a few friends brewed tiny batches of beer for local fans in central Vermont. The first release was poured at the Tunbridge World’s Fair in September 2015. Its ales and lagers are now sold in cans and on tap throughout Vermont and in six other New England and Northeast states. Its hop-forward IPAs have built a large following, but it also brews crisp lagers, dark ales and fruity sours. It has released more than 100 different beers. After about ten years in Tunbridge, it moved to Burlington in 2026, opening a brewpub that serves its traditional and small-batch beers with food, local music and art.
