Vermont Cider Lab

Vermont Cider Lab is a cidery and tasting room in Essex that makes fresh-pressed hard cider with ingredients from local farms. It is run by Chris Line and Karen Wisehart, along with Kurri, and the founders are Vermont natives who have called Essex home for more than 20 years. They say they take pride in offering a locally sourced product that highlights some of what Vermont has to offer, and they hope the cidery will become a gathering place for friends and family. The name reflects their love of Vermont, cider and Labrador retrievers. The lineup is organized into year-round ciders, a Small Orchard Series, seasonal releases and a barrel-aged series. The tasting room serves the ciders with a menu and hosts events. The cidery works with local partners, and its ciders are sold at other locations.
